Some birthday themes are easy. This one had a little bit of everything — glitter, football, karaoke, and a whole lot of friendship bracelets. When it came time to plan this year's celebration, there was really only one duo that could inspire a party this fun: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Pop superstar meets NFL tight end, sequins meet shoulder pads — it turned out to be the perfect combination for a birthday nobody would forget.
We wanted the party to feel like stepping into the middle of a stadium show — equal parts concert and game day, with enough sparkle and swagger to make everyone feel like they belonged on the guest list of the year's biggest celebrity couple.
Setting the Stage
From the moment guests walked in, the theme was unmistakable. We split the space into two easy-to-read worlds: the glittering "Eras Tour" side, full of sequins, string lights, and pastel color palettes, and the "Gameday" side, decked out with football banners, end zone signage, and team-colored streamers. Somewhere in the middle, the two worlds collided — which, honestly, felt like the whole point.
Crafts Fit for Pop Stars and Tight Ends
The craft stations were where the party really came alive. We set up a full lineup of DIY activities so every guest could walk away with their own handmade souvenir.
Candy Microphones were a hit right out of the gate — kids built their own edible "mics" from candy and treats, ready for their own karaoke debut later in the party.
At the Decorate Your Own Glasses station, guests customized oversized sunglasses with gems, glitter, and stickers, channeling a little bit of red-carpet glam.
The Decorate Your Own Tiny Football table brought in the gameday energy, letting kids paint and personalize mini footballs to take home as their own trophy of the day.
Over at the Friendship Bracelet station, guests strung beads and charms to make bracelets to trade with friends — a sweet nod to the tradition Taylor Swift fans have made famous at concerts everywhere.
And no party is complete without something sweet to decorate, so the Decorate Your Own Cupcake table let everyone frost and top their own cupcake exactly how they liked it, sprinkles included.
Photo-Op Perfection
Tucked near the entrance was a photo-op area designed for guests to strike their best pop-star or game-day pose. Between the backdrop, props, and good lighting, it quickly became one of the most popular spots at the party — the line for photos rarely let up.
Karaoke and Air Guitars
When it was time to turn up the energy, the karaoke station took center stage — complete with inflatable air guitars for anyone who wanted to add a little rockstar flair to their performance. Guests took turns belting out hits, guitars in hand, turning the party into an impromptu concert of its own. It was loud, it was silly, and it was exactly the kind of moment that made this birthday feel unforgettable.
Delicious Food, Game Day Style
No celebration is complete without great food, and this one delivered. The spread leaned into the gameday side of the theme with crowd-pleasing favorites, alongside treats that tied back into the Eras Tour glam. Between bites, guests wandered between craft tables, photo-ops, and the karaoke stage, plates in hand.
A Celebration Worth Singing About
By the end of the party, glitter covered the floor, friendship bracelets covered wrists, and more than a few guests had taken their turn on the karaoke stage. It was a celebration that captured the best of both worlds — the sparkle of a pop concert and the excitement of game day — brought together for one unforgettable birthday.
Here's to the next era, whatever it may be!
